Reservation form: improved presentation on mobile and large screens
December 2015

The reservation form (displayed after a click on a slot in the schedules) has just been updated, find below the list of the main changes.

Mobile navigation

The navigation between the different booking options (with a member, a guest, a label, ...) was until now not very comfortable from a cell phone. Indeed, only the first option was presented as a tab, the following options were accessible as icons, without text, and this could be confusing.

We have completely redesigned the navigation between these different options, which are now presented as a list with an icon and text for each option. Just "tap" on the desired option to display the details and continue (list of members, choice of wording, etc...).

Simplified interface for members

Your club members now have a more readable and consistent reservation form. While the layout was previously centered, it is now presented in two columns. This allows you to highlight the main block where you can choose a partner, a guest or a label.

Centered interface on 16/9 screen

This is particularly relevant for administrators for whom the booking form was presented on the entire width of the web browser window. The navigation could be uncomfortable on big resolutions, for example if you open BalleJaune on a big 16/9 screen with a 1920px resolution. The validation button was on the right end of the screen while the time selection or the repeat were on the left end.

To overcome this problem and to concentrate the navigation on a more limited surface, the interface is now centered on a maximum width of 1440px.

Repeat" function (recurrence)

The "repeat" function allows you to book with recurrence, for example every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5pm to 8:30pm for 6 months on court 1, 2 and 3.

The presentation has been slightly revised for more comfort. The days of the week and the different schedules are now displayed in two columns while the duration (formerly "repeat every week") is highlighted by a simple selection field.

The whole team wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

The BalleJaune / OpenResa team.
