Neop: standalone 4G connected lock
Neop offers a standalone connected lock and an access-code reader connected via 4G, with solar power. No network or electrical wiring needs to be run to the court.
Understand how it works
The Neop equipment communicates directly with your club account through its own 4G connection. For each booking, an access code is calculated for the reserved time slot, then stops being valid.
This is the solution to consider for an outdoor court located far from the building, where bringing power and network access would account for most of the installation cost.
Connect your Neop account
- Open Administration›Settings›Access Control & Piloting, then More Information on the Neop card.
- Enable Activate the Neop module.
- Enter the API Identifier and API Password provided by Neop.
The API Status block confirms that the connection is working. As long as it is not green, codes cannot be sent to the equipment.
Link your calendars to spaces
This step makes the rest of the setup meaningful: without it, the system does not know which door to open for which booking.
In the linking section, match each calendar with its corresponding Neop space. A calendar without a linked space continues to work normally for bookings, but does not trigger any opening.
Set the time tolerance
A player who arrives five minutes early would find the door closed if the code were only valid to the exact second. Two settings prevent this situation:
- Tolerance before the start of the time slot: number of minutes allowed before the start time;
- Tolerance after the end of the time slot: number of minutes allowed to leave or collect belongings.
Secure access with one code per booking
The A different access code for each booking option generates a single-use code instead of a shared code.
This is the setting to use as soon as the court is accessible to occasional players or guests: a code shared by word of mouth becomes useless after a few weeks.
